Craze Productions launches New Digital Music & Video service on SKY

Craze Productions, a leading digital media company specializing in Urban & Dance music, has launched a new revolutionary Music & Video service in the UK, based on Sky Interactive TV. The “Craze Sky Channel” offers a variety of Video & Music downloads, Ringtones and Video Ringtones, all available through Sky’s new business Portal - Sky Net. The new service will be reachable to almost 25 million daily viewers, and is currently in its beta version with a formal launch scheduled for October 2006.

Within the portal, Sky viewers can use their remote control to access the Craze site, by tapping 1818 (a SkyKey number). From here all of the available music and video content can be immediately downloaded to the viewer’s mobile phone.

The channel is also available via the “Hot Sites” menu on the Sky Interactive Portal homepage.

The service is a sharp contrast to the traditional Red Button system, which exists on many other TV channels. It is rather an entire eye-catching web site within Sky, enabling the viewers to easily surfing and purchase content while watching any TV channel. The Ringtones and Mobile Videos are charged for and delivered via a Wap store (See at http://skymusicwap.wap.com , or text “SKY” to 07786 206048 to get the site on your cell, no charge), powered by Equal Mobile solutions. In the future, viewers will be able to buy any content directly through the Interactive TV channel, using the remote control.

The “Craze Sky Channel” already features the UK’s Top 20 singles chart, along with songs and videos from some of biggest names in Hip Hop, Reggae and Dance music, such as: Warren G & Snoop Dogg, Aaliyah, Ashanti, Boyz II Men, Kool & The Gang, Jimmy Cliff, Liberty X, Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Natasha Thomas, Lisa Scott-Lee and many others.

Following a soft launch, Craze plans to enhance the site’s music catalog with thousands of top songs, and introduce new features such as “Music News”, “Dj Mix of the month”, and additional youth related products.
